Paoli is like a cornerstone of Florence, tucked away in this gorgeous old building dripping with frescoes. It’s the go-to spot for digging into classic Florentine dishes like Bistecca Fiorentina. Stepping inside feels like time-traveling back to when Puccini and Pirandello hung out here. It’s still super popular, so snagging a reservation is a must. Seriously, if you’re in Florence, you’ve got to check it out! 😦Like save share with your super foodie friend 🤍🤗 • • #florence #firenze #florencer

Mom and daughter, two birthday, one city: Florence After wandering through the historic centre, from the Duomo to Piazza della Signoria, the evening led us to @paoli1827 , the oldest restaurant in Florence and a true landmark of Tuscan cuisine. Opened in 1827 as a small delicatessen by Pietro Paoli, this restaurant soon became a meeting place for intellectuals and artists, welcoming names such as Puccini, Marinetti, Pirandello, Leoncavallo and even Charlie Chaplin over the decades. 🇮🇹 Looking for the best Bistecca alla Fiorentina in Florence? I meant to book a table at Antico Ristorante Paoli, one of Florence’s oldest restaurants (1827). Instead, I made the reservation at Ristorante il Paiolo. I didn’t even realize we went to the wrong place until I started putting this video together! Not the same history… but still a great meal that I would recommend for your next trip to Italy! Have you ever ended up at the wrong restaurant on vacation? 😂 | Giovanni Siracusa
